Like a clock: in business get it all right or it will all be wrong.

In so much of business good enough can be great.

However, there are a four elements every leader must get right when expanding their business or developing teams. You have to have all four right for sustainable success. Three out of four isn’t close, it’s failure.

  1. Know thyself. All good things start from within. Faking out your own values is a fail.
  2. Ship it out. If you believe it, do it. Leadership is execution.
  3. Close the loop.  Feedback correctly managed is the best signal to others they are on the right track.
  4. Verify and validate. Verification is objective measurement. Validation is subjective feedback. Without verification and validation, drift and slop creep into the system.

Jim Rohn says it goes like this: “Failure is not a single, cataclysmic event. You don’t fail overnight. Instead, failure is a few errors in judgment, repeated every day.
